The First Born

My oldest brother Don and his wife Teresa. Talk about a sister-in-law that 'the in-law part won't do' - as far as I'm concerned, she is my sister. I tease my brother Don all the time that I would keep Teresa over her. And I am teasing - - - at least as far as he knows, I am... Actually, I couldn't imagine one without the other...

Today is their 37th wedding anniversary. {Happy Anniversary!!!} I really wanted to post their original wedding picture with this post - but I COULDN'T FIND IT!!!! So this one will have to do - it was taken on Thanksgiving day.

They have three daughters - Stace, Melissa & Tamara - all of whom I will introduce eventually.

I don't remember this - but my Mom tells me that when I was a baby - well.... we lived in Bennington, and the block wanted to get together to play hide & seek, but Don was 'stuck' babysitting me. He wanted to go play with the rest of the gang - so he put a little sweater on me and took me along. I played my very first game of hide & seek when I was zero.

The memories and the stories are endless. I couldn't even begin to tell them all - so I'll limit it to the most recent one.

Monday & Tuesday of this week, my brother Don was in town (for work) and we got together for dinner Monday night and then we went to my Mom's birthday Tuesday night. I must say that I was a little surprised when he called me to hang out with - there is quite an age difference - but what the heck...

We had a great time. It was nice to get together one on one (okay, B joined us for dinner on Monday) and be able to talk about this and that. We've never done that before - I hope we do it again. He's always asking me when I'm going to 'come and visit him' - I going to have to check my travel calendar and see if I can't make that happen this year.
